Historical Walking Tour of Olde Parrsborough: Mi’kmaw, Merchants, Missionaries, and Mariners

Hear stories about the longstanding connections Mi’kmaw people have made to the area and how they shaped Parrsboro’s ongoing significance. Learn about missionaries and merchants who influenced the early social and economic development of this community. Marvel at the ways sea captains, Black Loyalists and shipwrights left a legacy on this built landscape.
Tour details: Hosted by retired professor, Dr. Jeff Orr, PhD. Walking tours are $15 per person, cash only, with all proceeds supporting the restoration of Parrsboro’s historic signs.
Tour departs from the harbour front across from the Art Lab and Crow’s Nest on Lower Main Street; custom group tours may be arranged at other times by contacting Jeff. The walking tour is approximately one km with several rest stops and some hills.
