Overview
Located just east of the Wallace River on Route 6, situated on the birthplace of famed astronomer Simon Newcomb (1835–1909). The cairn, unveiled in 1935, marks his many achievements over his lifetime. Another cairn, erected in 2012, honours Wallace native Willard S. Boyle (1924–2011), the 2009 Nobel Laureate in Physics.
