One of the longest-running fibre festivals in our region is the Nova Scotia Fibre Arts Festival, held every October in the beautiful town of Amherst, NS. The festival celebrates its 16th year in 2025 and draws in visitors from across North America. The five-day festival includes workshops, quilt shows, and fibre arts exhibits and talks.

The 16th Annual NSFAF will take place October 14-18, 2025 and features creative workshops, exhibits, and hands-on demonstrations, the festival offers something for everyone. If you’re looking for a little fibre in your creative diet, then this is the festival for you!
