Historical Self-Driving Tour of Olde Parrsborough: Tombstones and Tragedies

Participants will explore some of the tragedies that ravaged Parrsboro sailors and soldiers by shipwrecks and as casualties of wars. We will learn how drowning and disease plagued the early population. We will also visit the graves of some of Parrsboro’s oldest citizens and hear of remarkable lives lived and remember people from all walks of life.
Cemetery Tour details: Co-hosted by Lisa C. Smith, LFD and retired professor, Dr. Jeff Orr, PhD. This driving tour of Parrsboro’s cemeteries via your vehicles requires minimal walking. Cost is $15 per person, cash only, with all proceeds supporting the restoration of Parrsboro’s historic signs.
All tours depart from the harbour front across from the Art Lab and Crow’s Nest on Lower Main Street; custom group tours may be arranged at other times by contacting Jeff.
