Overview
Gillespie House Inn is a gracious Queen Anne Revival farmhouse, circa 1890, set amid 2.5 acres of lawns and colourful gardens in the vibrant art community of Parrsboro on the picturesque Bay of Fundy. We are within walking distance to the town centre and the Fundy shore where you can discover miles of hiking trails, beaches and spectacular scenery.
Parrsboro is also a convenient base for short trips around the Fundy Shore, such as the UNESCO World Heritage Site at the Joggins Fossil Cliffs, Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Global Geopark, the picturesque lighthouse at Cape d’Or, and Cape Chignecto Provincial Park. For the adventure seekers, sea kayaking, wilderness hiking, and mountain biking are available.
Our accommodations include seven rooms (Single bed, Queen-sized bed; one ground-floor with ramp), all with ensuite 4-piece baths. Enjoy our wholesome breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., as well as our fair-trade coffee. Yoga studio (see website for schedule), off-street parking and wireless internet are provided. The Inn is pet-friendly and we have dogs on the premises.
Gillespie House Inn was awarded the Crystal Award for Sustainability in Tourism by the Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia in 2013. We are members of the Inns of Nova Scotia.
