From sea stacks, lava tubes, and coastal caves to steep cliffs, towering arches and waterfalls – discover the dramatic coastline of the Bay of Fundy from the water!
On this day long, guided sea kayaking tour, we’ll explore the spectacular coastline of Cape Chignecto Provincial Park on the Bay of Fundy, home of the world’s highest tides. Launching from the red sands at Spicer’s Cove, the coastal cliffs become increasingly dramatic as we paddle further along the park’s shoreline. We’ll stop for lunch on a pristine beach at the mouth of a tidal river. Once bustling with shipbuilding activities during the Age of Sail, the cove is now a haven of peace. On the return paddle, your jaw will drop as you experience how quickly the water level changes and how different the area looks!
Experience includes:
- Day long, guided sea kayaking tour of Cape Chignecto Provincial Park (6 hours total; 3 hours of paddling).
- Light and healthy lunch, featuring ingredients that are either home-grown in our garden or home-baked.
- All kayaking equipment, including a dry bag for your camera. We use double kayaks only.
Price: Adults: $159 plus tax; Children (up to 16 years old): $119 plus tax
This is our most popular tour, so be sure to book in advance to reserve your seat! The tour is offered daily and though it normally lasts about 5 hours from start to finish, please allow around 6-7 hours in your schedule. You should bring a water bottle, which you can fill at the office, if needed. After checking in at our office in Advocate Harbour (1 hour and 20 minutes from Amherst; 40 minutes from Parrsboro; 3 hours from Halifax; 2 hours from Truro), it is roughly a 30 minute scenic drive, in your own vehicle, to the kayak launch site at Spicer’s Cove. Your guides will be waiting for you at the launch site where you’ll receive an introduction to kayaking. This tour is for people who are fit and confident in an ocean environment. We kayak along an exposed shore, and windy and choppy conditions are to be expected.
